Welcome to Square Tire Music
Well, you made it. Frankly, we're impressed. There are billions of websites. Millions and millions of bands. Thousands of record labels. And yet here you are. Standing at our doorstep. However you found us really doesn't matter. We're glad you're here. We hope you like what you find here at Square Tire. We hope you tell only your closest and best friends and they in turn only tell their closest and best friends.
The single most significant thing that separates the Square Tire bands from any other record label is that we are all of us friends. We hang out. We sing each others songs. We often play in each other's bands. We expect this will change over time, as we plan to add more bands to our label's roster, but at the core of Square Tire there will always be friendship.
Unfortunately, we're not scenesters. We're also not hipsters. We're not particularly cool. We're certainly not connected. Our fathers weren't rock stars. Our mothers weren't record executives. Our uncles aren't publicists, agents, or producers. We're just normal musicians with extraordinary talent that have grown weary waiting and hoping that someone will someday “discover” us. We don't want to be discovered anymore. We want to be found. By you. And we've succeeded.
However, without the backing of multi-billion dollar record labels we aren't able to afford lots of things that our competition can. In fact, right now, as our video introduction says, we can't even afford to eat, clothe ourselves, and keep gas in our vehicles by making music alone. We all have day jobs.
